Well, one stormy night back in 2005 I was living in De Pere, Wisconsin; a suburb of Green Bay. My fiancé at the time was sleeping and I decided to work a bit on my computer. At around 1:30 Am, I decided to put the original version of the Japanese horror movie Ju-On in the computers Dvd drive so I could listen to it while creating.
Outside the storms severity had escalated and lightning continued to illuminate the night with long flashes followed by frightening claps of thunder that seem to roll off into the distant darkness. I could hear intense music coming from the horror movie playing in the background. I switched my view to the appropriate program only to see Kayako climbing toward the screen. Very creepy indeed.
But something off the screen caught the corner of my eye. Something moved, but when I looked down, I saw nothing beside my can of coke, a marker and the wooden desk they rested on. I went back to viewing the movie and after another minute, It happened again.
What was going on? The lightning flashed, the thunder erupted.
I continued to watch the insane climax of the foreign film just before I looked down to watch my can of coke slowly and gracefully glide and rotate from one end of my desk to the other. Just before the metallic red can found its resting place, the lightning flashed, the thunder clapped and the lights went out.
I nearly had a heart attack. Then the lights came back on and I realized that the condensation on the can had accumulated before dripping down the sides and lifting the can upward, then the tilt in the desk had given the can a path.
What a crazy and simple night.
